RIHANNA REVEALS SHE HAS MOVED TO LONDON

Last week, British fans of Rihanna went wild when they spotted an unusual product in the background of one of the singer’s Instagram stories: a Sainsbury’s carrier bag.

While it was safe to assume that the Barbadian singer, who found success overseas in the United States and then internationally, was in town for some reason, it has now been revealed that Rihanna has actually moved to London.

When asked by the New York Times what she had “come to appreciate” in London since making her transatlantic move, she responded, “WALKING AROUND THE BLOCK.”

AFRICAN NOMINATIONS FOR BET "BEST INTERNATIONAL ACT"

The 2019 BET Awards nominations have been announced and three Nigerian music stars made the list.

The Killin Dem crooner, Burna Boy, and Mr Eazi were nominated in the international act category.

They were nominated alongside AKA (South Africa); Aya Nakamura (France); Dave (U.K.); Dosseh (France) and Giggs (U.K).

In the Best New International Act category is Nigeria’s fast-rising star, Teniola Apata popularly known as Teni Makanaki.

Nominated in the same category with Teni is Sho Madjodzi from South Africa, Headie One and Octavian from the UK and France’s Jokair and Nesly.

The 2019 BET awards will take place at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles on June 23.

DJ TUNEZ RELEASES another banger with Wizkid ft Blaqjerzee called GBESE, now Wizkid’s widely anticipated album “Made in Lagos” is yet to have a release date but so far this year Wizkid has dropped “Low” featuring on Larry Gaaga’s new single and gone on record to say everything he will release this year will be a hit. Now if this song and “Low” are anything to go by, it going to be a HOT summer!

North London rapper MoStack has launched plans for his debut album 'Stacko'.

It's been a massive 12 months for the rap talent, notching up smash releases with ‘Litness’ and his third silver certified record ‘What I Wanna’.

Alongside this MoStack has notched up some high profile features, including spots on Mist’s ‘Diamond In The Dirt’ project and Krept and Konan’s ultra-infectious ‘Crepes N Cones’.

The rapper will release his debut album 'Stacko' on June 7th, confirming the news on his socials:

He has just released his first single from the up coming album, song is called ‘Wild’ and the video is just that.

 
TIWA SAVAGE SIGNS TO UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP

Under the agreement, her future music will be Tiwa Savage has signed an exclusive global recording agreement with Universal Music Group (UMG), the music-based entertainment global leader announced today.

Under the agreement, her future music will be released internationally through UMG’s operations in more than 60 countries worldwide. Projects will be executively produced by Efe Ogbeni of Regime Music Societe and Vannessa Amadi-Ogbonna.

Drake won multiple honors at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards on Wednesday night and encouraged the audience of musicians to give their peers their flowers while they're still alive.

"We've obviously had like an unfortunate series of losses within our business, and I just want to encourage everybody to let other artists know how you feel about them," Drake said as he accepted top male artist Wednesday. "Let them know that you love them (and) respect them while we're all still here."

The rap star, who walked into Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena with 17 nominations, also took time out to thank “Game of Thrones” star Arya Stark.

"Shout-out to Arya Stark for putting in that work last week," he said of the "Game of Thrones" star who shined in last week's episode.

REMY MA A WITH HUSBAND PAPOOSE

Remy Ma is in police custody for allegedly punching her "Love & Hip Hop New York" co-star Brittney Taylor at a concert last month.

The rapper turned herself in to cops on Wednesday, accompanied by her attorney. She's been booked for misdemeanor assault, according to TMZ.

Brittney Taylor claimed Remy punched her in the right eye while backstage during the Pretty Lou Benefit Concert at Irving Plaza near Union Square on April 16. 

As police were investigating the incident, Taylor prepared to file a civil suit against Remy by requesting cops preserve all evidence of the alleged assault, including surveillance footage.
